Editions
StackRivet is open core. These docs cover the Community edition; the paid tiers add capabilities on top of the same engine.
The guiding rule: Community must be genuinely usable in real, commercial projects — not a crippled trial. Paid features earn their place only by saving customer time, reducing risk, or satisfying a procurement requirement.
The tiers
Section titled “The tiers”| Edition | For | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Community | Developers, small teams, evaluators, open-source users | A free, commercial-friendly base for real projects |
| Pro Team | Outsourcing teams, small software companies, early ISVs | A team-efficiency pack on top of Community |
| Enterprise | Enterprise IT, gov/SOE, mid-to-large ISVs | A governance, compliance, private-deployment and support pack |
| Enterprise Plus | Large or strongly-regulated customers, channel partners | Custom plugins, migration, source escrow and SLA — quoted individually |
What Community includes
Section titled “What Community includes”Community is a complete base, not a demo. It ships:
- The modular-monolith backend (Spring Boot 4) and the Vue 3 admin UI with the StackRivet design system.
- Full RBAC — users, roles, departments, posts, menu/button/API permissions — and the basic data-permission scopes (self / department / department-and-below / all), enforced on the server.
- The code generator (entity, mapper, service, controller, DTO/VO, frontend pages, OpenAPI, test scaffolding).
- The Asset Service with Local, S3-compatible and Aliyun OSS storage, signed URLs and multipart upload.
- Async tasks, audit logs, observability (traceId, Actuator, optional OpenTelemetry profile), the module manifest, the CLI and Docker Compose.
- The AI guardrails, tool rules and engineering-governance docs.
All of it under a commercial-friendly open-source license.
What the paid tiers add
Section titled “What the paid tiers add”The full feature matrix lives on the pricing page. At a glance:
- Pro Team — advanced generators (master-detail, tree, many-to-many), template editing, a lightweight workflow, reports, field-level multi-tenancy, and the upgrade assistant.
- Enterprise — SSO (OIDC / SAML / LDAP), MFA, schema/database-level multitenancy, security audit reports, advanced object storage (virus scan, Object Lock, more clouds), high-availability deployment and SLA support.
- Enterprise Plus — custom plugins, framework/legacy migration services, source escrow and a dedicated SLA.
Where a feature in these docs is Pro- or Enterprise-only, it is marked as such and linked to pricing. Everything documented without such a note is in Community.
